This is probably tallest lego i ever build. Base name Toruk makto & tree of soul represent build from 2009 Avatar movie, not upcoming Avatar 2. Despite not being “fresh” and related to new movie of James Cameron this is stunning build, massive and very colorful.
Set contains over 1200 pieces which is a lot. As part of set you getting 4 mini figures, horse animal, big bird, tree of soul and 3 parts of terrain.
Tree of soul is large in size and well replicate tree from movie. It has stable base with trunk and pink vines hanged from top. They very well select colors of bricks creating that natural look of trunk as well other plants and rocks laying on base.
Biggest and best part of this set is definitely Toruk build. I didn’t actually expecting that about half of toruk will be separate pieces of vinyl representing his wings. They not bricks, they just snaps in place. It is completely understandable, they must be agile and very light. On the end you can move them and imitate flapping. Whole toruk figure sits on floating island connected with single transparent piece and i was worrying terribly that it won’t hold it in place. Surprisingly it have amazing balance and holds him in air with no problem whatsoever. Once everything is connected together, it creates massive build. I was playing like a kid, super fun for everybody.
When comes to quality, this is LEGO, I can’t remember last time they failed to deliver not pristine condition brick. Everything is always precise and intact.
I am really happy with this set, great choice for christmas present for your kid or partner.

This Avatar Lego set took around 3 hours to build. My other half has already built the other Avatar set (75573) which she really enjoyed. She is pretty good with Lego and she found this one a little more challenging to build than the other Avatar set. She rated this as a medium skill build for someone who is into lego – there were some challenging parts like the tree that took a little longer. The age rating for this build is 12+, for someone younger it may take a bit longer but the instructions are excellent and easy to follow.
The item is nicely packaged with a resealable box, comes in 4 parts with instruction booklets. It has 1212 pieces and some spares. The quality of the Lego is excellent like the other Avatar sets and some of the small details on the tree and large animal is fantastic. It is very high quality which is what you would expect from Lego. It’s a fantastic set for Collectors or Avatar film fans.
The only criticism is the rather high price at £130. Like the other set that cost £90 this one had a bit more of a challenge to it, and don’t get me wrong the quality is excellent, but it didn’t take that long to build. However, there is plenty to play with and it’s still an awesome set and don’t think you would be disappointed especially if you love Lego (or Avatar).

The Lego set arrived safely, and it comes nicely packed in a well-illustrated retail box, in typical Lego fashion. This model number 75574 set is based on the original Avatar movie and it’s the largest set in the series featuring 1212 pieces.
The set comes with three Pandora scenes, the sacred Tree of Souls, four minifigures, a large posable Toruk, and a 6-legged Direhorse. Building the set was a fun and pleasant experience, in part due to the many pieces and well-illustrated, easy to follow instructions.
First off is the Tree of Souls, it’s a decent size and it really stands out on display. It stands nice and sturdy, and the translucent pink strands that hang down look amazing, it’s a very unique looking model. The trunk looks complex with all its different pieces, and they help to give the tree its well-established look. The vines/roots growing around the base can be angled in different ways and there are four small glow in the dark pieces around the base too but the glow is very subtle. There are also several spots around the tree where you can place some figures.
The largest set of the three Pandora scenes looks brilliant and it’s got a very interesting shape to it. The floating rocks look really cool held up by the translucent support and there are five glow in the dark pieces to this scene which look great when they glow. All of the detail is concentrated in the front of the scene, there isn’t much to see round the back. The Toruk connects to the floating rock piece which easily holds it nice and sturdy.
The three scene models can connect to each other as well as other Pandora themes from different Lego sets to make one large, themed area, which I think is pretty cool.
The Toruk is also a decent size, with nice vibrant colours, and it looks really intimidating perched on the floating rock. The vinyl wings, wing tips, head, mouth, and legs have a lot of adjustment to them so you can pose the bird in a variety of different ways to get it looking exactly how you want. The Direhorse is a static piece with a removable centre so you can mount the rider to it. The receptacle on the horse can connect to the bottom of the rider’s hairpiece to form the “neural link”.
Overall, I think this is an ideal Lego set for collectors and fans of the Avatar series as it’s a great looking, large set with plenty to see and play with. The price is quite high, but you do get a decent number of pieces and the licensing does play a big part in this so it’s pretty good value for money if it’s around the £100 mark. It’s certainly a set I’m more than happy to recommend and I feel it’s worth the full five stars!
