Granddaughter loves it, she’s 7 I had to help build.
Barry –
Great price and a quiet big set to be fair.
Mrs H –
9 year old Grandson loved it
The extra details of it fitting to other pieces was brilliant
He builds older lego than his age
Happy Grandson….Happy Nana

I bought this as a gift for my young Grandson, he loves Lego and this was his most challenging so far but he built it with just a little bit of help.👍
Ryan –
Great set, good minifigures. I’d recommend waiting for a reduced price though.

Bought for my granddaughters birthday as she really likes Lego and Harry Potter.
Took her a time to put together but finished it after 2 days.
Good instructions for her to follow.

I love Harry Potter Lego it really is great. The downsides (one of which is labelled as a positive) for me is: the interchangeable rooms. The other is the new green rooves.
Now the interchangeable rooms can be combined to make one big castle, great idea in theory, and looks good on the shelf. But that means fitting all the different sets together so the rooms are disjointed. The worst bit though (and it should be the best bit when building Lego) is it becomes monotonous, dare I say, boring building them as it is basically the same framework for every green rooved/ new set. There are some new figures, but how many Dumbldores or Harry Potters are you going to have in a diorama? (Not as bad as the JP/ JW sets with an Owen Grady in every single set 😄😄).

Kept me entertained for several hours building and a lovely selection of characters, although I do wish lego would stop putting Harry Potter in every set! Or at least give a spair head/hair piece to turn him into another Griffindor pupil!!
I do prefer this newer version on the Hogwarts Castle room scenes as they are bigger and easier to view and lay out dioramas. Coming in sections they can also be swopped around. It also means they are also more stable when making higher towers.
What is a real bug bear is the inclusion of green roofs to this new collection!
This set has a less noticeable green tower so doesn’t stand out too much from my Great Hall, whomping willow set and Astronomy Tower. But I will have to replace other roofs when I purchase other sets.
